Who am I?

I first came up with the idea for Professional Freelance Writing/Editing over 40 years ago when I worked during college summer breaks at Newsweek magazine. And I was right - it's my special talent and I've been writing and editing at every job I've ever had.   

When I was hired by one of the largest, privately owned, Fortune 10,000 company on Wall Street, I was given a relatively dormant commodity to cover as a researcher.
 

Within one year, I wrote a quarterly, internationally-read newsletter and successfully predicted the next major price up move for this commodity - a few years in advance. I even received overseas calls asking who was the "new" writer.

When I went into teaching in NYC, I wrote my own interactive lessons in an effort to challenge learning deficiencies and excessive truancy rates. They were unique, student-centered language arts programs integrating multi-levels of literature, subject matter and mediums. Students, parents, my own school principals praised my work.
 

I relocated in my late twenties, several thousand miles from New York City, and the first company that nibbled at my resume was a desktop publishing company.
 

I was fast, accurate, with that "special" eye for detail and the kind of talent that the CEO said "sparkled." It wasn't long before I was writing/editing the CEO's corporate writing, public relations material, and portions of a major publication, instead of just proofreading for font and punctuation errors. 

When I transferred into sales at an innovative, agriculture product company, I helped introduce an original retail idea and was promoted to New Product Manager.  I wrote/designed the product's brochure, packaging and advertising, and also became one of the the company's top inside phone sales people. I also worked exclusively with the CEO on his exemplary education proposal for our immediate community. 

I relocated to New Jersey in my forties to take care of my home bound, elderly mother and have continued my work as a Professional Freelance Writer/Editor.  I also have been a New Jersey Certified Substitute Teacher, PreK through Grade 12 since 2011.
